Thank you for what you given me

"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

I am much like Anna, my 3 year old daughter. I want what I want NOW. and if I don't get it I will scream and cry and pitch a fit. "God WHY?!". Why is this happening to me. I deserve better!! I often look at Anna's temper tantrums and dramas and get frustrated, trying to reason with her and throwing my hands up in the air asking for wisdom on how to raise her. It has just hit me that God is doing the same with me and is asking me to take me own advice. "Have a happy heart Mary. Be thankful for what I have given you. Trust in me and what I am doing in your life. Be content with where you are." I hear his words as clear as day.

Lord, forgive me for getting upset when I don't get what I want. Remind me that Jesus didn't want to die on the cross but he lived in total submission to your will. Through your Holy Spirit, help me to live in total submission and be content with what you give me. Amen.

Here are a few pictures of some of my blessings...

The kids with their Easter baskets.

Easter Egg hunt

Jesse on the move!

This picture has nothing to do with Easter but is too funny to pass up. These are Anna's "hide and seek" goggles. For some reason, everytime the kids play hide and seek she has to wear these now. Maybe they give her some x-ray vision or something.

  1. Thanks for sharing your heart Mary. Lately when I have been getting tired with the kids and the changes both inside and out, I am realizing the need to slow down and just be thankful. But it seems we can only do that with God's strength!
